Santa Barbara RC Modelers #797
The Santa Barbara RC Modelers #797 is located in Santa Barbara, California. Club members have access to two flying locations: 1) Electric powered & glider flying inside and, 2) Float-flying events at , Mohawk Shore.
The club invites visitors on Saturdays from 7:00 - 9:30 AM for free introductory flights. They demonstrate RC airplanes to adults and youth, including suggestions on buying, flying, and maintaining an airplane. Buddy boxes are used to give new pilots the feeling of model aircraft flying while maintaining the 'safety net' for instructors to take over when necessary.
