The Witchita Radio Control Club (WRCC) #316 is an 91快活林破解版 Silver Leader club located in Witchita, Kansas. In 1954, a group of local flyers formed the WRCC to promote the hobby of model aviation in the Wichita area. Over 50 years later, the club operates two flying sites and has a membership of approximately 75 pilots.
Chapin Field is located along the edge of the Arkansas River in South Wichita. It has a large open site with a 400' x 30' asphalt runway with dedicated space for drones and helicopters on the North side. Amenities include benches, covered picnic tables, portable toilet facilities, multiple airplane stands. Chapin Field is operated under a land use agreement with the City of Wichita and a Special Airspace Authorization with the FAA for WRCC members.
Lake Afton is located on the West side of Lake Afton along West Shore Drive. It offers a large 500' x 30' asphalt runway with helicopter pads and a model rocket launch site. Amenities include a large covered shelter, restroom facilities, and on-site electricity. The flying site is operated under a land use agreement with Sedgwick County and requires all vehicles entering the park to have a day permit or annual County Park pass.
The club runs several Fun Fly events, Indoor Flying (Osage Park), and swap meets. The club is also happy to provide flight instruction to those interested in getting started in this wonderful hobby.
